Libby graduated with honours from the University of Sydney with a double degree in science and law. She studied advanced chemistry, advanced physics, mathematics, and psychology and was invited by the Dean of Science to join the Talented Student Program. Libby also received a scholarship from the Women’s College for Academic and Sporting Achievement. Her favourite law subjects included federal constitutional law, international law of war, crime and terror and advanced corporate law, where she wrote a thesis on the rationale behind the Australian regulatory framework for insider trading.
After university, Libby worked as a derivatives trader for nine years and has had experience trading through a multitude of high volatility events. In 2020, she decided to move to Japan to pursue her passion for education and build upon her extensive tutoring experience. Libby is passionate about mentoring students and unlocking their true academic potential.
In Australia, Libby enjoyed helping her community as a qualified volunteer bush firefighter and received the NSW Premier’s Bushfire Emergency Citation for contribution and service to the NSW bushfire 2019-2020 emergency response. In her spare time, Libby loves canyoning, white-water rafting, skiing and drifting at Ebisu Circuit. She also enjoys playing heavy metal on her electric guitar.
