Clark obtained his PhD in Chemistry from Princeton University at age 25 with multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals. He has recently retired from a 20-year corporate career, with the last 10+ years in an S&P 500 listed biotech company as their Asia Region Director while residing in Shanghai and Tokyo. While in Shanghai, he was selected to conduct alumni interviews to screen prospective applicants for Princeton. He has had a history of academic success, including attending college/university science and math courses while still in high school, and graduating with honors from Caltech with a double major in Chemistry and Environmental Engineering.
He enjoys studying martial arts, beginning with Shotokan Karate (3rd Dan) and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, before exploring sword-based arts such as fencing, kendo (2nd Dan), and is currently focused on Iaido (3rd Dan), a style of Japanese swordsmanship. He has always been fascinated with airplanes and holds a private pilot license with over 200 hours of flight time, and certification to fly seaplanes. With his PADI master diver certification, he can often be found trying to capture pictures of sharks, turtles, and nudibranchs all over the world. He has previously been certified as an NREMT-Intermediate, volunteering on an ambulance at a local fire station for several years, and has helped teach CPR/EMT classes.
