Lester holds a Bachelor in Jurisprudence and a graduate degree in Civil law (BCL) from the University of Oxford, graduating with multiple scholarships as well as examination prizes in his study of Advanced Property and Trusts, and Constitutional law. During his time at Oxford he was Editor in Chief of the Oxford University Undergraduate Law Journal, overseeing the editing and publication of its 11th and 12th Edition. In addition he also helped arrange academic panel discussions and conferences involving UK Supreme Court judges and leading academics, and hosted regular writing workshops for undergraduate students interested in academia and research.
Being a firm believer in the value of education for personal development, for the past 5 years Lester has worked with students of all ages and backgrounds to plan and pursue a path in higher education, be it whether it’s the US or the UK. He is particularly focused on helping students explore, identify, and articulate their individual interests, whether that be writing operas, researching political theory, or competitive archery. Combining a sensitivity for the student’s distinctive character with specialized knowledge relating to compiling college lists and refining admissions essays, Lester is familiar with helping students find their personal voice.
Lester has a strong familiarity with the UK as well as the US admissions. Having delivered outreach sessions and marked admissions essays for the University of Oxford, he has an insider perspective on the hallmarks of what makes a strong UCAS application. Lester is also thoroughly knowledgeable in the holistic approach the US admission process leverages and aims to set his students up to succeed based on their intended major and desired college to matriculate.
