Chambliss graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2021 with two bachelor’s degrees: a BS in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business and a BA in East Asian Languages and Cultures. Her interdisciplinary achievements earned her the Renaissance Scholar distinction.
In high school, Chambliss was valedictorian of her class, scored a 36 on the ACT, and earned 5s on multiple AP exams, including AP English Literature, AP US History, and AP Psychology. Her strong academic record and extracurricular involvement culminated in her receiving the Chody Family Annual Scholarship, a merit-based award to attend USC, and the opportunity to participate in the Marshall Global Leadership Program, an invitation-only course for the top 10% of Marshall’s incoming freshman class. She later secured a debate scholarship through her work on the USC debate team.
Chambliss has been teaching since high school, tutoring students in a variety of subjects, including foreign languages, math, and writing. Her most formative teaching experience was with Upward Bound, a nonprofit initiative that provides tutoring and college counseling support to students at underperforming high schools. There, she tutored students in English, history, and math, served as a teaching assistant, and helped students craft their college applications, with a particular focus on essays and resumes. Through her work with students of all ages, she developed a pedagogical philosophy centered on helping students build confidence in their ability to learn and solve problems independently, so they feel well-equipped to tackle challenges when studying on their own.
In her spare time, Chambliss enjoys reading (she is a big fan of Japanese mystery author Edogawa Ranpo), leading culinary and cultural tours in Tokyo, and visiting as many museums as time allows.
