SAT Reading & Writing Class
Our SAT Reading and Writing course delivers the concepts and skills necessary for the SAT Writing section (grammar, rhetoric, reading charts, question-answering techniques, and process of elimination) and the SAT Reading section — narrative, expository, and argumentative passages; question answering, strategically eliminating options, and time management. Students are required to either submit a recent official SAT score or take a mock test at Tokyo Academics: students scoring below 500 or above 700 may benefit more from private tutoring. Students can expect to receive 3-4 hours of homework per day.
“Going into the course not knowing anything, I thought that the SAT reading/writing sections were all about how good students are at understanding the English language. But the course taught me approaches, tactics and important knowledge that helped me improve my score on the spot.“
“The SAT verbal class helped me form testing strategies and strengthen my reading and writing skills for the SAT verbal section. The class was very engaging and made studying for the SAT a more enjoyable process.”
