Alex graduated Magna cum Laude from Brown University in 2020 with a Bachelors of Science in Geology and Chemistry. At university, he worked as a tutor for organic chemistry classes, a teaching assistant for several earth science classes, and a camp counselor and mentor for summer programs both in the US and Japan.
After university, Alex worked in environmental consulting for 2 years where he focused on toxicological risk assessment for medical devices and environmental litigation. He then moved to Japan through the JET Program to teach ESL to local high school students, including those with learning differences. He is passionate about education and strives to make learning STEM fun and accessible.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys playing classical music and going to the gym. He currently plays viola with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and chamber music with his friends.
