Bobby graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Ethnic Studies as well as a minor in Asian-American Studies. He is committed to the philosophy of “education is access, and access is equity.”
For over twenty years, Bobby has tutored students of various ages and backgrounds with the idea that through the skills and confidence gained, they will create opportunities not only for themselves but also for their communities. From elementary to high school students, Bobby has assisted his pupils in achieving a more masterful grasp of English and Mathematics.
Be it learning the meaning of words with contextual clues or making persuasive arguments in their term papers, or so far as to bringing ESL students up to speed with their peers, Bobby has opened the doors of the English language to hundreds of students.
From elementary students who had struggled with increasingly complex concepts to those in middle and high-school wrapping their heads around subjects like algebra and geometry, the students he has worked with have not only experienced a dramatic rise in their scores but also in their confidence.
Among his proudest achievements are helping students gain acceptance into the highly competitive University of California system, including the campuses in Berkeley, Los Angeles, and Irvine.
A lover of creative energy, Bobby spends much of his free time in the company of musicians, artists, fellow photographers, and aspiring creators in the pursuit of free expression.
