Bio:
Lok holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance with Upper Second Class Honours from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also holds a Master of Science in Education from Temple University Japan, which was completed in 15 months with a 3.9 GPA. He has always excelled academically, achieving 7A* & 4A in his IGCSEs and 2A* & 2A in A-levels as well as scoring in top percentiles in the GRE for quantitative reasoning and analytical writing. He has been teaching in Japan for over 3 years, ranging from various levels of test prep to tutoring subjects including English, Math, and Economics. He has over 100 hours of SAT® test prep teaching experience alone, helping students increase their scores significantly. One student increased their score from 640 – 710 on the English section through TA’s intensive 5-10 day SAT® group classes. Another student, through 1-on-1 tutoring, improved their score from 1300 to 1450 over 5 months of weekly classes.
Lok comes from a diverse, multicultural background that helps him to connect with students going through similar experiences. In his free time, Lok enjoys hiking, keeping up with the news, and playing video games.
