(Online & In-person)

Bio:

Miya graduated from Oxford University with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences, bringing with her an impressive interdisciplinary academic record. Over the course of her degree, she mastered a wide range of subjects, from social sciences to biological sciences, earning a high Upper Second Class Honours. Her achievements at Oxford include receiving the Award for Academic Excellence in Evolutionary Medicine and Public Health and producing near-publishable work on inequities in the UN’s ‘One Health’ framework. She also conducted commended research on how the intersection of social, behavioural, and biological sciences shapes young people’s health decisions.

Beyond her studies, Miya was deeply involved in education accessibility, leading and producing content for a student-run podcast aimed at increasing access to Oxford academia. Her commitment to learning extends to her students—she has a history of academic excellence herself, earning all 8s and 9s at GCSE and excelling at A-Level with top grades in Biology, Chemistry, and Drama, as well as achieving Gold in the International Biology Olympiad.

Now, she finds great joy in educating, teaching at an international kindergarten and tutoring privately. Miya has successfully guided students to acceptance at Oxford and believes that a compassionate, tailored, and inspiring approach creates the most effective environment for meaningful education.
