(Online & In-person)

Bio:

Teoman holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Government and History from Harvard University, as well as a Master of Letters in Legal and Constitutional Studies from the University of St. Andrews, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Global History and Governance from the Scuola Superiore Meridionale. In between these degrees he has worked in a number of positions editing, researching and publishing on topics including ecology, current affairs, cybersecurity, and history. He also has experience in teaching, including a full-time teaching, professional tutoring, and contract work. Subjects he has taught include test prep for SAT, SSAT and other tests, mathematics at elementary, middle and high school levels, as well as essay writing support for students of all levels.

Teoman sees education as a lifelong project, and reflects this attitude in his tutoring. He believes that students get the most out of education if they can see it as a project in which they are the chief partner, with each educator being a temporary guide aiding them in different parts of this process. In line with this, his lessons encourage students to forego shallow memorisation or emulation in favour of deeper understanding and an ambition to use this understanding for their own growth.

In his free time, Teoman likes reading literature and philosophy, writing, playing computer games, and hiking.
